There is no age at which everybody needs dentures. Simon's wider point in this episode is that tooth loss can happen at different stages of life and has many possible causes.
Need is based on your mouth
Accidents, dental disease and other individual circumstances can leave someone needing replacement teeth. Some people retain natural teeth into later life; others need help much earlier. Age alone does not determine the treatment.
Keep prevention and replacement separate
Regular dental care helps identify problems in remaining teeth and gums. If dental anxiety has kept you away, tell the practice so support can be discussed. Needing a denture is not a reason for embarrassment or a verdict on your character.
Ask what suits you now
A partial denture may replace a small number of missing teeth, while other situations need a different plan. The video includes informal age and sex generalisations; these are not a basis for predicting your needs. Your dental team should assess your own history, oral health and options rather than make assumptions from an age group.
